About

The Green Heart Project is a community-based volunteer nonprofit organization that integrates school gardens as outdoor classrooms in an effort to teach students the virtues of hard work, respect and success, and to reiterate classroom curriculum while connecting students and volunteers to fresh, healthy, locally-grown produce.

As a Garden volunteer, you will assist our Garden Coordinator and Garden Champions in maintaining and loving our school gardens so that the space is always lesson ready and beautiful for our Green Heart Project programming. The Garden volunteer is an essential role to ensure that our farm-to-school programs and our community outreach initiatives are effective and successful.

Interested cadets should visit The Green Heart Project website: http://greenheartsc.org/get-involved/

All Green Heart Project volunteers must complete a SLED Background CheckPlease visit the Krause Center to complete the SLED Background Check Form for FREE.
