Pathways Mentoring

Pathways pairs our middle and high school scholars with caring adult mentors trained through the Grizzlies Foundation. We have a waiting list of 40-60 students eager to be assigned a mentor, will you serve?


Expectations

  • 1 full school year commitment
  • Minimum of 1 session (1 hour) per week with mentee
  • During the session, mentors are expected to help their mentee develop life skills, expose them to cultural experiences.

STREETS mentors and mentees attend Grizzlies games together, eat at local restaurants, visit local attractions, go to movies, and so much more!

Requirement Details
Requirements to be a Mentor

Complete a volunteer application
Provide references
Pass a background check
Complete an interest assessment with a member of STREETS staff to best match your mentee
Attend a Grizzlies TeamUp orientation, a Pathways new mentor training, and Stewards of Children training (Average of 6 total hours)
Commit to meeting with your mentee, once a week during the school year, for a minimum of one hour, between 2:30-6pm, Monday - Friday
